Default 3D Brain

Fascinating!

Hopefully this 3D technology will help provide a better understanding of numerous neurological diseases. A courageous and altruistic 65 year old woman, who donated her brain to research, made this possible.

I’ve been considering donating my brain to Parkinson’s research. I’ve done my research. Bottom line…a brain donation requires advanced planning. I started the conversation with my husband and it was not comfortable, we basically said let’s talk about this another time.

The decision to donate my brain to research is challenging and emotional for both of us, but one that we will resolve together. It is a process, like the one we went through accepting the fact that Parkinson’s disease is part of our life.
