And when I insist and keep ignoring these jolts and try to go to sleep, I wake up in a state of panic.

Is this something some of you had to deal with or am I losing it altogether?

My sleep is awful and I am not sure if its caused by my Parkinson's Disease or not. I just get so worried at night and start to panic over all things that me unhappy and because I don't have the control over my life that I use to. The panic attacks come on suddenly and they frighten me so much. My psychiatrist prescribed medication for them and it does take the edge off a little. However, with all the medicine I take they all have something in them that should make me sleepy but it is so difficult. I hope you find a way to get the sleep you need here.
