Default Going on a cruise, any suggestions for a disabled person?

Hey friends, my girlfriend and I have a cruise booked and I was wondering if anyone has any experience with using a wheelchair or assistive device on the cruise? I can get around on my feet with a walker but it sure is nice to sit on my butt for a rest! If it can be accomodated I plan on taking a wheelchair and my walker. Thanks. I plan on calling the cruise line but I'd like to see if anyone has any comments in this area as well. Thanks.

Jim,
Taking a walker as well as a wheelchair is a good idea.
The cruise lines tend to keep their own w/c for emergencies only.
Make sure your room is close to the elevator and activities.
Get a room with a balcony so that if you get tired you can enjoy the cabin without feeling closed in.
Hope you have a good time.
