Found this well-made documentary tonight while following up on a news story about PD. I thought it was excellent, well worth viewing.
http://www.cultureunplugged.com/docu...line/play/9240 Below is the description from their website. Papa Parkinson. Twenty years ago Stig Svensson was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease - an incurable neurodegenerative, chronic and progressive illness. His son, Carl Svensson, returns with a camera to capture the everyday life of his father, his struggle and his very own way of handling the obstacles the disease gives him. But it is also an attempt for Carl to approach his father. Papa Parkinson is a tender portrait of the filmmaker's father, Parkinson's disease and their life together. It is also a reconciliation with broken dreams and the past. |
