i have a friend paying thru the nose for azilect to add to their mirapex for a minor improvement, maybe it might be worth trying neupro.
and in the final analysis, would cheap old C/L work just as well?

I have tried both Mirapex and now Neupro. For me there is a big difference. Mirapex was not very effective. My PD is much like yours, soccertese, -- 95% rigidity 5% tremor -- started with a frozen right shoulder.
I'm guessing its the consistent level of delivery 24/7. With Mirapex, I had uneven symptom control. Neupro keeps symptoms under control at all times. Don't get me wrong, I still have PD aspects, but very manageable.
I also take Azilect. I would say its symptom relief is minor at best. For reasons beyond my comprehension, my insurance rates this a Class 1 drug, and charges $15/month copay -- its gotta be a mistake.
C/L works. But for me the effect waxes and wanes throughout a 24 hr period. No "OFF" time, just uneven relief.
To day the least, everybody is going to be different as far as the best drug regimen goes. I kept switching until I found something that works for me.
My MDS gives out a 30 day trial of Neupro if warranted. I tried it and liked it immediately. 6mg dose is very effective.
