Default Leg Cramps

Diagnosed with PD this year and confirmed with DATSCAN. PD involves my left arm. I am 62 and have other issues including diabetes and low thyroid. I am currently taking Sinemet 25/100mg four 1 four times a day. A few days ago, I started having really painful leg cramps in both legs involving calves and toes. Is this part of taking Sinemet or a PD problem? Any tips on how to prevent this?
Thanks.
