Default Travel with Prescriptions to China

My GF and I are planning a trip to Taipei, Hong Kong and Canton in a few months. I started browsing the web for advice on traveling with meds -- in my case stalevo. I got the basics -- carry in original container, get letter from Dr, etc, Asking the forum for real world experience in particular to those three cities. What hassles if any, confiscation, delays in transit, or my biggest concern what about loss/theft and you need a refill.

Language not an issue, my GF is Chinese
thanks in advance appreciate your insight

Michael,
I haven't ever been queried when travelling there in fact I've never been questioned on arrival in any country.
I do like you do leave pills in original containers then put them in a clear ziplock bag and always keep them in my hand luggage. Then there's no risk of it being lost.
China is a fairly safe country to travel in.
The people are generally kind and respectful especially to those with special needs so you should have an enjoyable time and a gf fluent in Cantonese or Mandarin can help iron out any language barriers though in HK English is more common than China.
I've never bothered with a Drs letter and again it's been no problem but if you need to see Dr I guess might best to have a letter.
I have implanted neurostimulators and that tends to draw a bit of unwanted attention to me as I can't go through the magnetic field of the scanners and have a card from Medtronics the makers of it regarding this and I'm usually treated well or best of all like it's no big deal.
Enjoy your holiday.

Carry in hand luggage, on person and in main luggage, that way you should be covered if there is loss or delay getting hold of luggage.
