Thanks for posting this Rick. I'm always amazed how they get so much detail into these sand sculptures.

I had no idea that sandcastles were anything but sandcastles. You have introduced me to a whole new art form. They were not just castles. Some like the "Arms Race" made statements, and alot made me think of the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy. Everyone should take a look at these pieces. Sometimes looking at glorious art such as these can make one forget how serious life is.

That if there is a personal fight going on there are over a thousand views, but this beautiful. mindboggling sight that Rick has posted only has 60 peeks. Either people do not appreciate beauty as much as a vicious argument, or people aren't looking because they don't want to some beauty in their lives. The link is amazing and I will push it back at ya until you look.

How breathtakingly wonderful. The patience and skill is just mindblowing. And to think these folk put so much care into something that isn`t going to be permanent just puts them on a different level altogether.
WOW.Thank you so much for this. x |

Harrison Hot Sorings is close to Vancouver and this is simply the latest annual competition (almost didnt proceede this year). There are a number of other sand castle competitions in the area.
Vicky, nice as it is this is old hat for me. To give implied criticism of people for not looking at any subject well ......come to Vancouver - its relaxing:-) |

I haven't been on for awhile - had surgery last week - but these are fantastic! I can understand why some folks haven't looked - it took me about a half hour to download...but well worth the wait.
