Default If I Had ONE Wish

I wish the PD researchers would put their resourses into curing this disease rather than curing the symptoms.

Sadly, there is no money in curing disease - big money in curing symptoms.

Default takes time and requires balance

It's a tough balance ... they can't cure what they don't know/understand. A huge amount of money is being spent to try to track that down, such as investments in biomarkers research and the work being done on alpha-synuclein and genetics. In the meantime, there are millions living right now in crippling disability, and need relief from PD symptoms. They deserve attention as well.

I honestly believe they are doing the best they can with the resources they have. They need time, which is something we don't have a lot of. We've done a lot to accelerate the research and make it smarter, but it still takes time.
