Next week I'll be attending a meeting about how the communities of older adults and people with disabilities in my city can be better served with technology. This is part of a "random hacks of kindness" project which will occur the last weekend of the month.
One idea I have is an early warning system for when you're about to lose your balance and fall. Many of us seem to have lost our awareness of that situation until we find ourselves too far into the fall to save ourselves. I'd guess that some sort of devise already exists that might be adapted for our use. I'd love to hear your own ideas of what might be helpful to you. How do you think technology could be used to improve things for people who are older and people with PD? Thank you! Katherine aka Violet Green |
