Hello Jim091866,
I have looked into this and this type of stem cell therapy has proven to be effective for CIDP, Lupus and MS among others. It is possible that stem cell therapy would work for other types of autoimmune mediated diseases but I did not find anyone that had treated other types of autoimmune neuropathy other than CIDP with stem cell therapy as of yet. I emailed Dr Burt personally and he stated that at this time there are not plans to expand the treatment to other types of autoimmune diseases other than those listed here at this time. http://www.stemcell-immunotherapy.org/about.html Autologous non-myeloablative haemopoietic stem-cell transplantation procedure does hold promise for the future... Hi Jim,
I have been researching stem cell treatment for a while now. I chose autologous stem cell treatment for a few reasons, one of which is that it is offered in the USA. Very pricey though. I have pd and cannot wait for FDA approval especially when big pharma controls so much. The best option I found was StemGenex. Sorry I can't post the link yet. This is my 10th post. They are BBB certified. Some other companies charge more and use fetal, animal, or embryonic stem cells that require foreign travel. One company charged less but seemed less effective. There are options if you look. Message me if you want to discuss. |

My own personnel thought is stem cell replacement therapy is fine but.....
If the original cause of PD is not found and fixed the new replacement cell are only going to be contaminated and will die off as well. What have you fixed?

That is precisely what I was saying in my thread on would this work for us? The HSCT treatment composes of a course of chemotherapy to kill off the bodies own immune system. THEN you get the stem cells. Works for MS, I wonder?
