I was able to watch the videos. Thanks! They really answered a lot of questions, especially Part II.
"As I have been debating for a while now what my next drug will be when needed, I would love to see some comments and thoughts..."
I have been debating this, too. I am due for an uptick in medication. I have been on Azilect for four years and added Amantadine last year. With only these medications, I am fighting compulsive computer use. Meanwhile, there have been widespread, and in several cases, devastating, agonist-caused impulse control disorders among my YOPD support group members. Scares the hell out of me.
I think my fear of stepping up to agonists is justified but fear of carbidopa unjustified. As mentioned in the video, because PD is slow to progress, people adapt and don't realize the extent of their disability. The fact I must admit is I can't really use my hands well and it is causing me to participate less in many activities I would otherwise. I talked to my doctor this morning and decided to start Sinemet today.
I am glad that you brought up this topic and the video. It helped me reach a decision way too long in coming.
