Default No winning answer.

What do you do when there is a family member who cannot support themselves due to the fact that I suspect a mental disorder. The person is "reasonable" enough to converse with and perform tasks and basically function on their own but they do not have the ability to hold down employment, reason on their own, act in socially acceptable manner, etc. It may be simple to say "Oh well" or that they are on their own but that is not so easy to do. Ugh!!!!! I do not want to become a ward or responsible for this person but yet they do not care for themselves, follow doctors orders or simply basic hygiene and social rules for language and behavior. I am interested as well in the biblical view here as well. Am I expected to force my family to suffer for the sake of another. This would be to the extent that it would affect socializing with others. I would not want them to be in contact with him/her.

Put yourself in that persons place & then ask yourself the same questions (that a lot of us may eventually face) ???????????????????????????
