Default Sinemet Information

Would you kindly let us know which genetic formulations of Sinemet you prefer in order of effectiveness.

Also who makes the Brand Sinemet and do they also make a generic?

Thanks in advance...

you should be more specific in your topic so people not interested in sinemet won't waste their time.
to be honest, i've only taken the teva brand 25/100 and 25/250 (i split it)
i got the 25/250 when i was paying out of pocket because it didn't cost a lot more than the 25/100.

i prefer the mylan 50/250CR. it's been hard to get lately so was given a different generic, like the mylan better. i don't want to get too much into generic comparisons, but everyone should read that article i posted describing just how much variability is allowed between the brand name and generics and even between lots of the same drug. and i assume this variability is potentially greater in the CR formulation. i don't think generic mfg's even have to test their generic in pd'ers, they just test blood levels in healthy volunteers. i might be wrong.

these work ok for me. there might be better generics.

i'm not sure if the BRAND NAME is available anymore, that .pdf i posted said MYLAN was taking over BRAND NAME mfg from MERCK but that was dated 2011. if you go on the MERCK website they still list the 25/100, 10/100 and 25/250 but not the 25/250CR. will investigate.

talked to my pharmacy and they said MERCK 50/200CR brand name is available and costs 3x the mylan generic.

take it for what it's worth.
