They look like they are having a lot of fun...and breaking through some culture barriers. They don't make good guitar smashers though - probably because they understand the value of a dollar.

Good for them and thanks lindy.

This is part of a BBC awareness raising project to do with pensioners rights and prejudice etc. Single was released today and proceeds go to a charity called Age Concern which is the main fundraiser to help older people in the UK. It is a much underdiscussed issue here, with many very isolated old people, and poor resources. Fun idea, with a serious aim. The pensioners actually went to Abbey Road to record!

Default Wonderful idea

What a wonderful idea.

Would it be really bad taste to suggest that we could do something similar to raise PD awareness and money for research.

The Zimmers are getting so much press in the UK as did the Womans Institute via their nude calender a couple of years ago.

We could be "The Neuro Singers" (sounds a bit soft)

or "The Parkies" (much more to the point)

and as most of us were born in the Baby Boom we have plenty of suitable material:

Hippy Hippy Shake
Shaking all over
Shake Rattle and Roll

Steff could mix the music, just the small matter then of getting together, recording, manufacture of CD's and distribution lol.

Does anyone know Graham Norton personally or maybe David Letterman (is that spelt correctly?).

Default Maximum exposure

The idea is progressing nicely.

To optimise publicity (or maximise exposure!) we could sing in the nude .......

Two good ideas that both worked, combined.

Default Full Frontal!!!

I thought we were talking carefully placed pot plants and plates of buns and large guitars.

If the video isn't watchable no one will buy the CD - lol

Default Full Frontol!!!

Chris, I think a "good-looking" bunch of "parkies" like yourselves, strutting and strumming your stuff, will be very watchable indeed. Let's see what you got.

Well shake it up baby now, twist and shout......

Great Buns, Great Idea!

Default In The Nude

Okay, all you "naughties"...and I will be "dating" myself with this one! When Chris said"we could sing in the nude", I laughed aloud. My thoughts went immediately to another era...and Glenn Miller's ever-popular, "In the Mood". Most...if not all of you are probably asking: "Who the heck was Glenn Miller? Let's just say that I think that "In the Nude" would "fit" nicely to the beat of Miller's "In the Mood". Then, we could preface our new piece, "In the Nude" set to the tune of "In the Mood"...OR, if we want to take this one step further, we could name our tune...are you ready for this...IN THE MOOD FOR IN THE NUDE?...now, do you see what all you "naughties" have done to me???...I use to be such a nice person...but, that becomes boring...and this is fun!!!
