Just for the heck of it, imagine that for one month, everyone in the world agreed to follow the general rules of life recommended by the Judeo-Christian faith. [Gasp!]
What comes to your mind, what do you see? You don't have to respond, but it's interesting to think about. Do you see misery? Do you see science? Are you bored? Are you safe? How are people treating you/ how are you treating other people? Do you view life with more trust and optimism? Of course you could do the same with all religions. Radical Islam and any other form of fanaticism excluded of course. But the key words are everyone agreed and general rules laid down. This would involve many people who go to church every week making changes as well. I see a better world. We are already living in one where religious faith is not the priority. It gets worse in direct proportion to the condemnation and removal of religious faith IMHO, or in adopting self-centered mutations of a faith. [how many virgins are we up to awaiting a suicide bomber?] Thelma, I see the world almost exactly the opposite as you do. I see man trying to prove he doesn't need faith or God and science at times trying to overcome nature. [not always a bad thing; not always good either] But I'm' too tired these days to argue about it....lol I do think words can heal. The problem comes when a person tries to take credit for it. All the people need to do is apply faith. Beyond that it's just not our decision. People don't have to take the credit or accept the blame. Thanks for the thread Tena. paula

Or you can just follow the rule of our American TV show "My Name is Earl" and "do good things, good things happen to you." Karma man, karma...
