Default Medications-my story

Hi again. I am a newbie who would like to communicate with others. My internist was treating my depression with Prozac phentermine and anabolic steroid up to mid 1995. I am 58 and dx 2005. I noticed the first symptoms in 1999 when my index finger stared to shake. In the spring of 1995 he prescribed anabolic steroid for my body building and Ionamin (phentermine)
for my weight. Prozac was given for my depression. By July of 1995 he would no longer prescribe phentermine I was directed to a psychiatrist, new to practice, who did. Thus I saw both MD's for my meds. Liver levels were checked for every 8 week cycle. Thus psychiatrist continued to write prescriptions for phentermine and Prozac. I must say that I was happy almost manic all the time and excelled at work, body building and just about everything I did. The apathy and depression were gone. I could not wait
for the next day to come. For the first time in my life I could look in the mirror
6'1 175lbs. I had everything I wanted. Some time in 1998 my psychiatrist became concerned that the maker of phentermine recommended 2months and I was on 3 years. By now it is 1999 and I needed 50 mg of valium to get to sleep. No problem; just $150 per week.
Late in 1999 I developed a right hand tremor. My psychiatrist halted the Phentermine which was an amphetamine. In 2000 everything fell apart. By 2001 I was in a psych ward. It was until a few years later learning that the combo of drugs depleted my dopamine.
I will stop here because the best is yet to come.

PS. I just had DBS and HIGHLY recommend it
