Hi Everyone, and Welcome to our new members!..Welcome to the pd information highway.. ..A great site for support, friendship, and info..Please continue to join us!

The weather has been nice, and Im enjoying the AC in my new truck..Believe it or not, this is the first vehicle Ive owned with AC..Now I know what Ive been missing all these years.. ..I started fishing this week and went out the last 3 days in a row..Im surprised at what I can still do, and Im planning on going out tomorrow too if the weather cooperates..I went out fishing today, cut bait for tomorrow, and cut the grass too, and after a nap Im in pretty good shape..I always feel better this time of year..We are supposed to get the remnants of Barry on Monday so I'll get a day or two of rest

My Medicare kicked in the first of this month..I cant believe its been 2 years already since I got on SSDI..Time sure flies doesnt it

Next Saturday is the Rhode Island PD Spring Symposium, so I'll be going to that..My brother and I have been working out in the yard trying to get things done..So much to do and so little time to do it

So thats about it..How was your week?

You're Fired!!

Steve,

We could spend days just replacing the faces in that photo. Glad to hear you are doing well. I watched a movie filmed on Rhode Island today....very pretty.

Hope you enjoy the symposium. How is your brother doing?

paula

Thanks Steve,

I have been down with a mysterious case of diarrea. I laughed out loud. But don't you think Rosie looks a little anorexic? LOL

I couldnt stop laughing when I finished that one.. ..I found a picture of Rosie spewing with finger pointed, and I knew that was the one..

My brother is doing ok..No problems with prostate, he has blood tests periodically to keep an eye on it..He has the patience I wish I had..He can do the most tedious job with complete thouroughness

You are so right, Steve, how time doth fly, doth'ent it???
I have been busy. Spent a week in France, in St. Remi in Provence - such pastries oh...Walked our feet off and had a wonderful time. Two days after returning home my balance 'fell off', and I banged into walls for a few days. But we had a trip planned for Memorial day to Chicago, so I banged into the walls in my daughter's house there, and thoroughly enjoyed my grandsons, one of 4 yrs and his 6 month old baby brother. No sooner did we return home than my husband had a hernia repaired. It was planned and went well, but now I know how much he helps me when he is well. I'm doing well, actually....... miss the pastries - I could really use one now..

Default these are dark

  • I can't resist. I'd try Chelsea Clinton [ with expression, any expression ] for Trump, Bill Clinton for Rosy, and maybe toss in Monica for Jack Ruby.

Default Rain and daylillies

I think Mama Nature is bent on eliminating our rainfall deficiency here all in the last week in May and the first week in June. Has the rain reached RI yet, Steve? Oyster's area is apparently finally getting watered. Southeastern US? South Georgia and North Florida have really been hurting with the big fires feeding on tinder dry forests and brush. I think they finally are getting some relief.

We have good friends that have a commercial garden that specializes in daylillies, fancy hybrids in more than three hundred varieties. Their reputation for variety and quality is legendary around here, and they have an extensive clientele. Early in May they announced that their "Bethany Gardens" was going out of business this year, and swarms of daylilly enthusiasts have descended on them this month. They closed out their retail sales last week and we bought eighteen of those beauties for our own landscaping. Yesterday, between thundershowers, we installed them in their temporary homes in flower pots. Getting their permanent beds ready is our next big project. Oh, our aching backs!

Next spring promises to be quite colorful on our homestead!

Robert
