So some of you may have followed my story on the concussion portion of this forum. I have a a history of concussions, and this one has been now 11 months of bad times.
Anyways, the neuropsychologist and phyiscal therapist have noted stuff they seen with me. Mostly tremors in hands (not all the time though) and major difficulty is fine motor skills, quite significant shaking. They also noted my gate was slouched, I speak very quietly and appear emotionless. Anyways, the neurologist im seeing has been very into trying to make a connection. Thing is shes unclear if its from my brain injury, or actual early onset pd. Clearly im slightly nervous about that fact, as im only 28. Im highly doubting it is, but my wife also noted how my leg always shakes, and my knee locks up constantly, even in a normal sitting position. Like I said, im not to sure the dr is onto something. Anyways, im going back again tomorrow and she wants to see if she can get some of these symptoms to show up. Shes seen the hand tremors, the low mumbles, and the emotionless. I feel as though they are all more from my brain injury though. She mentioned last time that she wanted to try some medicine on me to see if it helped. I know this is a weird kind of post, especially since its a great possibility its from my brain injury. Just wondering if I should be looking for a new neuro, one thats more focused on helping me out with my brain injury, migraine, and cluster headaches instead of maybe grasping at straws. |
