Default Rytary Experience

My husband has been on Rytary for a week now. He formerly took at least 1000 mg Carbidopa/Levadopa (Stalevo and immediate release) and initially was put on a dosage of 9 195 per day (2 tabs three times a day and 3 tabs once a day). Although his on-time has increased to usually 4 to 4-1/2 hours between pills, his dyskinesia at this level was very high. The first night he was almost all night but we are attributing that to the remaining 'old' drugs not leaving hsi system yet. We are currently trying to adjust to 2 145 5 times per day and this has decreased the dyskinesia but he seems always borderline with energy. He does however still have good on time of usually 4 hours per dose. Food does seem to make a difference so we are trying to give at least a half hour before meals if it is close to eating time.
We would love to hear of anyone else's results with this new drug and how any fine tuning was done.
We are very pleased with the drug at this point although it is our understanding it is not yet on the Medicare formulary.
