I have been checking out the "hospices" and "palliative care homes" (as opposed to any other kind of care; I am finding waiting lists of four years) and so in the booklet for doctors this sentence jumped out at me:
Due to the long duration of the disease and the difficulty in predicting the time of death, people with Parkinson’s are frequently refused access to hospice and palliative care centres. Well, there you go! |
