I too take pride in being a WR. When my neuro records, dating back to early 1994, were reviewed in preparation for CERE-120 the trial coordinator made the statement to me, "You have been in a lot of trials." Yes, I have...Comtan and Mirapex...being two of them.

I will add though that CERE-120 was not as easy decision as a "take a pill" trail has been in the past. But, I feel it is the right decision for me.

I will be cheering when the day comes that a Phase II trial, in particular, opens up and the slots are filled within a couple of days. But, alas, I don't think I will ever see that happen.

Unless the rules of the "game" change, clinical trial participation is THE ONLY WAY that therapies get from concept on a researchers note pad to a doctors prescription pad.
