PWP News and Resources blog is up and running. Along with this Forum, I hope to bring daily Parkinson's related news items to PD community as a whole. Many people within the PD community don't frequent this forum...their loss...so I have both the forum posts and the blog posts.

thanks.gif all for your kind words.
There are many PWPs out there doing far more important work then my collecting and posting the news. So as not to clutter this forum, I do try to be selective about what I personally post here. I have started posting far more on the blog. I am just collecting the news and putting it in one place for anyone who wants to read it. I know for a fact that some...right here in this forum...see me at trying to compete for first place in news posting, but that is not the case. I have also been told that I don't sort the news well, that I should take care with items that are biased. Bias is relative. I may not see bias where another person may see bias. Actually, I don't sort the news at all. I post what comes down the news pipeline and into my Reader...which is a very long list of Feeds (newspapers, scientific journals, professional pharma magazines, etc.), which I add too when I see something that would be a good source, and post it. It is not my job to decide what is "biased" and what is not. The news is the news. Journal articles are just like news, they are filled with pros and cons...agree or disagree with the content. Sadly though, so many journal articles remain behind expensive subscriptions and can't be read by regular people like me and most of you. For example, when I began my research into Sham Surgery, while considering participation in CERE-120, I found that 99.9% of the information and discussion was behind costly subscriptions and had to depend on another PWP who is a research librarian to find writings and send them to me. I wish I could post them here for everyone to read and become educated about the topic, but I can't. As it says in my signature below: "Learning is not attained by chance, it must be sought for with ardor and attended to with diligence." --Abigail Adams Oh yes, and I have also been told I elaborate too much when I write personal replies to some threads, which is why I don't reply to threads very often. Oh well, I can't make everyone happy. It isn't my job to do so anyway. I will stop now. I have been my usual long-winded self. What is important is to keep learning, to enjoy challenge, and to tolerate ambiguity.

There are any number of ways that those who don't like what you are doing can deal with it. Like not reading it! Sheesh!
