I've taken NADH before with no noticeable result. Now I am taking nicotinamide riboside (NiaCel) to increase NAD+. We'll see.
I take 600 mg of NAC in Life Extension Mix, and take a lot of L-Cysteine as part of the Hinz protocol to increase glutathione. I have even taken acetyl-glutathione, the orally active form. I can't say any of this has cured me.

It's taken me a while to think it may be beneficial. Insomnia was bad at first when I commenced it and has been reported in others taking NAD aka nicotinamide riboside and so I take 750mg in the morning and over the last few months have found my sleep improved. |

Epub 2016 Jun 30. ** Overall, these papers aren't that exciting, although the observation that lower GSH levels (measured by blood test) seem to correlate with worse UPDRS scores is interesting. For something more interesting, Google this phrase: GLUTATHIONE IN PARKINSON'S DISEASE LAURIE K MISCHLEY ** My interpretation is that intranasal GSH does not raise blood levels of GSH, but based on unpublished data, 200mg of intranasal GSH increases brain levels of GSH by 200% over a period of 3 months, with mild symptomatic improvement. Note that one study correlates low blood GSH with worse UPDRS scores. But intranasal GSH does not appear to impact blood GSH, so there is a need to better understand this. It is not clear to me how they are measuring brain GSH, and what the mild symptomatic improvements are...so my suspicion is that the overall study result is that more studies are needed.
