Default NHS (England) to fund Duodopa treatments

Until now [1]:

"Duodopa has only been available on the NHS in England ... through an individual funding request (IFR) for each patient, which critics said often created a time-consuming administrative burden and led to postcode lotteries in access to the treatment."

On 2nd July it was decided to [2]:

"The following treatments and services will be routinely commissioned:
•Duodopa as a treatment to control the symptoms of patients with advanced Parkinson’s Disease ... "
