I have decent response to Sinemet. At bedtime I am taking 3 50mg Trazadone and 1 Lunesta. I am not sleeping through the night. Neurologist thinks a visit
to sleep clinic might be useful.Lack of sleep appears to trigger off symptoms. In the morning I take 2 100mg Zoloft generic. Any thoughts? Thanks upgrade used to be earth/jon |

Hi Jon,
I've been prescribed Lormetazepam (0,5 mg) and sleep 8 hours, wake up rested and without muscle pains, plus avoid having to take levadopa at night. Prescription sleeping meds are obviously narcotics and thus addictive, so you have to be careful not to exceed the dosage, but PD will eventually cause insomnia and there's probably no way around sleeping aids. My problems with getting enough sleep were getting worse every year and the only thing that helped was exercise in the sunshine. That's hard to get in the winter where I live. Sometime last year, reverett123 put some information about magnesium on the forum and I started taking it. Ever since then, I've been sleeping well. I wake up briefly once or twice a night, and once in awhile with a lot of sunshine, I sleep through the night. It still seems miraculous! Thank you, Rick!!
We're all different, but that's my two cents worth! Good luck finding your "magnesium". PS I also have to go to bed just about exactly at 10:00 pm, otherwise nothing works. Last edited by wendy s; 10-01-2006 at 10:53 AM. Reason: forgot something |

Hi earth,
I finally gave in to zanax, very low dose, but I wouldn't recommend it as it can be addicitve. So earth is upgraded to what? lol you could be moon, or Jupiter. All men are martians so you need something to identify you.....just being silly, not funny. paula |

I was taking Remeron and Xanax at night but it was losing it's effectiveness. Some nights, within a half hour of taking it, I'd be out! But other nights, it wouldn't do a thing for me. So they've weened me off the Xanax (but kept the Remeron) and are starting me on Klonopin soon.
Sleep is a HUGE issue for me. I can't nap during the day, even if I try, and if I succeed then I really can't sleep at night. I can usually fall asleep okay but wake up after a few hours and toss and turn the rest of the night. I wake up feeling so exhausted... Come on Klonopin... Todd PDTalks.com

Hi,
CTenaLouise started this thread recently and I searched for information. It is probably far from complete, but maybe there'll be useful things in it. http://forums.braintalk2.org/showthread.php?t=1422 Greetings Karine |
