I mentioned in the University of Maryland/focused ultrasound thread that I have been trying to follow-up on the amazing results Dr. Jannetta's patient with TGN and PD received when she had microvascular decompression done.
I was corresponding with his office and was under the impression that he was looking at trying his MVD procedure on other PWP but my more recent emails went unanswered. He has started the Jannetta Foundation, and he is in Pittsburgh. Is anyone here from that area that could let us know if he is still practicing/working/researching? Here is a link to his foundation, and note that his MVD procedure is listed as "promising" in the area of PD (see right hand of website in the box): http://jannetta.org/ We actually tried to find a neurosurgeon who would be willing to perform MVD even though we don't suffer from TGN, but were unsuccessful. Apparently one is willing to do off-label brain surgery ![]() |
