There is also similar work going on in Europe. Eg Roger Barkers recent transplant work in Oxford UK though still not induced pluripotent stem cells yet.

We're a partnership of more than 400 stem cell and regenerative medicine labs across Europe, connected via research centres, consortia, networks and hubs.
