As of this morning I have quit the Rytary after a one day trial, last Rotary 245 at 2m yesterday. I can't get back on my normal 2x dose of carbadopa/levidopa. It takes 1 hour to partially come on then goes off in 15 minutes.. Any ideas how to stop this? I can barerly eat or drink, asnd hurt too much to sleep.. There is no way to get a hold of my neurologist on a weekend. I don't want to end up in the hospital at a very bad time to be there.

There should be a nurse helpline...see what your options are?
I think they will take msgs for the drs in urgent cases..
Or call the neurology dept at hospital?

Thanks Jo*mar,
I finally pulled out yesterday. I don't know why and neither does my neurologist. And this will happen again. I need to some how get good advice for the emergencies that always occur on the weekends and after hours. Emergency rooms don't know what to do with PD problems and won't allow PDs to bring their own medicine , and won't supply them on the timely basis needed for PD. And this gets worse if you are hospitalized. And I can't imagine what it is going to be like when the hospital is filled with Covid-19 victims.
