I've been doing Rock Steady Boxing here in San Francisco for over a year...
I can't say enough good things about it. It's so fun and a great workout! If there is one in your area - you may want to check it out! |

Rock Steady Boxing - Austin.
Our coach went up to Indiana to learn the program and was so motivated by it is looking to start her own gym. Currently we are working out in a MMA (Mixed Martial Arts facility). I'd been taking the Power for Parkinson's classes for a year and the movement and stretching helped, but this is taking it up a notch with more advanced workouts. I haven't learned to jump rope, but can jump over the rope back and forth for 60 seconds. I'm seeing huge improvements. Interesting part is I was going to increase meds to more frequent intervals due to wearing off sooner. Well my medication is stable, and putting DBS off for the time being. Recommended. |
