Default DBS Outpatient

Has anyone had the entire DBS procedure in outpatient status? My primary insurance has approved the procedure but has denied inpatient status for phase 2(lead insertion. Trying to get some data for an appeal.
Thanks in advance if you can help.

In my case I spent the night (1) in the hospital after the lead insertion but
was in outpatient status for the generator surgery a week later. The surgery I had was the type where they put you under for both procedures.

i was scheduled for outpatient for 2nd surgery. in all my research, never read a patient account or provider DBS overview where 2nd operation is "inpatient". seems like something your provider should be able to clear up if they do a lot of DBS's.

Congrats on getting scheduled for DBS Soccertese. If you have any questions please let me know. I had it done 2 months ago and am quite pleased with the results!
