First, apologies for cross-posting this on HealthUnlocked and Neurotalk.
Does anyone know whether it is safe to take mucuna powder and Xadago at the same time? Or if not at the exact same moment, to be on both substances at the same time (eg taking Xadago once per day and taking mucuna a few times per day?) My mother supplements her Sinemet with mucuna. Her understanding is that mucuna and Azilect are not to be mixed. Since Xadago and Azilect are both MAO-B inhibitors, we are wondering if the same caution would be extended to using Xadago and mucuna at the same time. She has been prescribed Xadago and would like to start it, but we wanted to make sure it is safe first. Unfortunately here MDS is not always the most helpful when it comes to combining pharmaceuticals with other substances. Many thanks in advance for any insights you can share!
