Lightbulb Scientific Evidence you may not be able to live without...

Leading Scientists State: Low pH Associated with Over 250 Diseases

According to scientists, our bodies, just all other forms of life, must maintain a balance of acid to alkaline. Farmers and horticulturists frequently test the pH (potential for hydrogen) of the soil that their plants are grown in – tropical fish owners do the same for their aquariums. Without this balance of acid to alkaline certain forms of life may become diseased or even worse, die.

All Marine Life Dies at a pH of 3

A good example of pH balance of water is this, at a pH level of 6, crabs die, and fish and all living marine life die at a pH of 3.

Leading scientists have recognized pH or acid/alkaline balance as the most important aspect of a balanced and healthy body. They have long known that the maintenance of an alkaline pH is critical to cellular health.

Our body’s function at the cellular level is critical to life or death. All cells in the human body are slightly acidic but in order to remain healthy and produce energy they must exist in an alkaline environment. This is why it is so important for the body fluid to be alkaline.

Drinking More Water Can Help Neutrilize Acid Build-Up

Metabolic wastes are acidic and can build up inside the body. Neglecting your body’s need for alkalinity to neutralize this toxic build-up can cause your body to eventually reach a state of disease. This acidity can build up quickly as say for example – One 10 oz. glass of soda pop takes at least 32 8-oz glasses of good water to overcome the acid from that one glass of soda. Scientists have discovered that the body fluids of healthy people are alkaline (high pH) whereas the body fluids of sick people are acidic (low pH).

A pH test will help you determine how alkaline or acidic your body fluids are.

To determine if you are acidic or alkaline in the privacy of your own home use a pH testing strip. PH test strips can be found in some pharmacies or can be readily ordered over the internet (see links below). First thing in the morning on an empty stomach use your saliva to wet the test strip, the strip will turn different shades to show you your acid / alkaline level. The closer to 7.5 pH the better your ability to throw off disease. The lower the number the lower the pH - the higher the number the higher the pH.

A pH of 6.0 or lower indicates the fluid environment within your body is ideal for developing one or more of over 250 diseases that scientists state are associated with a low pH reading. Some of these diseases include Cancer, Diabetes, Arthritis, MS, and Heart Disease just to name a few.

Purchase pH Test Strips online at:

http://store.yahoo.com/herbal-remedi...est-strip.html - Test range is 4.5 to 9.0 -strips easier to use than paper - suitable for testing both urine or saliva.

Arrow Folic Acid for PD

Folate Deficiency Linked to Parkinson's

A diet that contains inadequate amounts of the B vitamin folate may raise the risk of Parkinson's disease.

The study found that dopamine-producing cells in the brain were more susceptible to damage and death when mice consumed a folate-deficient diet. Dopamine is a brain chemical that helps regulate movement, and the cells that produce the neurotransmitter slowly degenerate in patients with Parkinson's disease.

Mice fed a folate-deficient diet also had elevated levels of homocysteine, a compound formed naturally when protein is metabolized.

When high concentrations of homocysteine were infused directly into the brain, it exacerbated the Parkinson's-like symptoms in mice. Parkinson's disease is a progressive disorder marked by hand and facial tremors, stiffness in the limbs and slow movement.

While previous studies have shown that levels of homocysteine are elevated in people with Parkinson's disease, the precise role of homocysteine in the development of the disease has remained unclear.

This study strongly suggest that elevated homocysteine levels can indeed render neurons vulnerable to Parkinson's disease.

This study establishes that a diet with low folic acid levels increases homocysteine levels and the homocysteine, in turn, renders neurons in the brain vulnerable to dysfunction and death.
