Default Double dose

Has anyone ever accidentally double dosed Sinemet? I think I did it. Is there anything I can do? I feel like I have used some kind of cocaine with very bad stuff. Jonesing, chattering non-stop, suddenly crying. My husband is alarmed.

There was a thread about Sinemet overdose some time back.

PS: I don't understand what "Jonesing" means.

I mean I am hyper. Can't stop licking my lips and flipping my head around. Miserable. I called my insurance companies 24 hour nursing service. She had me call poison control. They said that the dose PI took is not a problem but I will just have to wait it out. So upsetting.

I'm very glad that you are OK.

As someone suggested in the "overdose" thread, a daily pillbox with a number of compartments might prevent this from happening again.

You 'll just have to tough it out till your morning schedule comes around, you might even feel like you don't need that round of meds. I wouldn't skip it personally.

It happens.

Pill box with the daily pills helps. Sometimes you need more than one pillbox.
Really needed a 7 x 7 pill box.

Post DBS has been good as I've cut back on dose of Sinmet & Comtan. Goal was to be on 1/2 previous levels after a year, so looks like it will work nicely. I still take one 25/100 every four hours, but that is fairly straight forward.

Meds Sept 2016: 5x daily: 2 - Sinemet 25/100 + 200mg Comtan; 50/200 ER Sinement (bedtime).
Oct 2016 - DBS - bilateral GPi (PD & Dystonia). Still a work in progress. (Reduced meds to 4 - 25/100 & 50/200 ER Bedtime daily; but need six months to see how DBS/Meds play out)

Typed in "7 x 7 pill box" and this popped up. "Unique design for Parkinson's Patients" -- someone knows us!

Parkinson's 7 Doses per Day Weekly Pill Box $34.95

Company based in Boston, Massachusetts.
No affiliation, but some interesting products.
What Is PD?
