Default remembering Tom Isaacs...

I was saddened to hear about the unexpected passing of Tom Isaacs, president of The Cures Parkinson’s Trust. He was a leader in the Parkinson’s community and worked tirelessly to find a cure for Parkinson’s. MJFF's partnerships with Tom and CPT go back to their launch in 2005 -- I loved his passion, feistiness, creativity and courage. My deepest condolences to his family, friends and community of supporters.

Debi

Default This is awful news ...

I cannot claim to be a friend of Tom's but I supported him at a meeting with the British Medical Council, discussing setup of a clinical trial and on a number of CPT conference calls.

I was only recently dx'ed at this time and I decided I couldn't handle PD symptoms and funnily enough Tom's dysks were one of the major factors in my decision to withdraw from all things PD (except Braintalk). Anyway as I sit here with dysks of my own I realise how stupid I have been. Coincidentally I have been thinking of Tom and admiring the effort and energy to make such a success of CPT.

I realise how weak I have been and how strong Tom has been.

If only a few of us had his makeup we would have cured PD years ago.

Tom, a really nice guy who had PD.

Neil.

His song was the highlight of the WPC last year for me, goodbye Tom, thanks for showing the way.

I met him at WPC in Montreal a few years ago. He impressed me so much...such a sweet, caring person with a winsome disposition, very animated, outgoing and absolutely precious. He will be sorely missed. Aunt Bean
