My heartfelt condolences to Joy's family and friends..I have had Parkinson''s for 16 years..I got to know Joy from an online Parkinson's support group..I have met Joy (aka "rosebud," her username) in person twice, and had many phone chats with her as well..I live in Rhode Island, 3,000 miles away..I met her at the World Parkinson's Congress in Washington DC in 2004, and at the Hope Conference in Washington State, I think in 2009..When we made eye contact we immediately knew who each other was, and Joy was exactly as I imagined her..We became good friends from afar, and in the past 5 years I seldom heard from her anymore, and feared that she had advanced Parkinson's, because I lost contact with many others from that support group, Neurotalk..Joy, Thank You for your friendship, for sharing your journey through Parkinsons when I was Diagnosed in May of 2004 , afraid, depressed, and feared of what my life may become, and you gave me hope..Thank You for making a difference in my life..May you rest in eternal peace Joy..I will never forget you
