i tried it after the teva generic became unavailable. i paid over $100 privately and didn't bill it to my insurance company - they wouldn't pay for the brand. it seemed to me to be less effective than the teva brand and worse than the mylan brand so didn't use it anymore. i could have purchased a smaller qty and saved some money just to try it out but i felt it wasn't fair to have my great independent pharmacy have to order a bottle of 100, sell me 20 and then be stuck with 80 tablets of brand name sinemet which
noone else would want.

the irony is that brand name SINEMET is made by mylan who makes generic sinemet and is the brand i request and get from my independent pharmacy. the mylan generic and brand name sinemet tablets look identical except the mylan tablet is scored and the brand name isn't. the label on the sinemet bottle states that mylan makes it. even though they look identical can't say MYLAN makes brand name with exactly the same ingredients as their generic.


fwiw, i take the 25/100, 25/250 and 50/200cr generic C/L from mylan.
