Intracellular magnesium level determines cell viability in the MPP+ model of Parkinson's disease - ScienceDirect

>> Shake It, Bind It, and Excrete It: The Dance of Cell Regeneration – 357

"The scientific, peer-reviewed literature from around the world -- though not well known in conventional medical circles -- is actually quite clear…

All Autoimmune issues involve cellular dysfunction of some sort, and all cellular dysfunction is caused by an imbalance of 3 key minerals:

Magnesium
Copper
Iron
In a nutshell, here’s what's happening at the cellular level:
Photosynthesis (in plants) is the process of splitting water (H20) into Hydrogen & Oxygen to create energy/ATP in order for the plant to live.

Humans do the opposite: In the body, we combine Oxygen & Hydrogen to make water (H20) in order to create energy/ATP.

But that process requires Copper, and the Copper must be “bioavailable” -- or, “in a usable form” -- because bioavailable Copper ensures that Iron has “chaperones” to escort it throughout the body.

Otherwise, Iron runs around like a 4-year old with a hammer wreaking havoc inside your cells…

So... how do you increase “bioavailable” Copper?

By following the steps of The Root Cause Protocol.

Stated slightly more scientifically: Copper makes H20 and releases ADP (in Complex IV of the Electron Transport Chain of the Mitochondria), which is a pre-cursor of energy; then ADP joins up with Magnesium (in Complex V) to create Mg-ATP, the active chemical of energy that the cells recognize and use.

(Btw, all of this technical stuff is addressed in The Root Cause Protocol 101 videos, along with citations to the peer-reviewed scientific literature.)

Bottom line: The cells are designed to create energy and to clear exhaust.

They get into trouble when there is less of the former, and too much of the latter.

In other words, a healthy body needs to be able to create energy and clear exhaust. Period." -Dr. Morely

Magnesium Advocacy Group — What you don't know about Magnesium might kill you.

Recently I've come across a facebook group "Magnesium Advocacy Group" with a pretty compelling argument for biochemical etiology for all manner of dis-ease. I really agree with the paradigm shift of focus not on the disease pattern but rather by basic functions of circulation, oxidation and excretion because any given insult be it genetic, environmental, emotional, nutritional etc etc will be responded to uniquely by individuals . Not to suggest that recognizing common pathology patterns isn't useful...its just that it is far too simple and potentially dangerous -devoid of a mysterious element that pperhaps we can reach solely through our intuition and awareness of how our own bodies feel and respond to our diets , our environments, medicines etc etc etc. Will the medicine that comes from genetic research come with sacrificing our very souls? We live iinsuch a vast and varied alchemical soup full of nuance and inherent contradiction

I have been dependent on magnesium for issues of constipation and discovered that taking magnesium oxide may reach deeper into my gut/bowels than magnesium citrate. And a new question arises in my mind of why the slow peristalsis. Could it be an issue of elasticity rather than what I previously assumed was lack of dopamine? I tried a coffee enema and next morning noticed how my body responded to my sinemet/mucuna dose almost immediately!!! as good as that felt I backed off doing another enema for fear of messing with my microbiome as I have recently noticed general improvement from brewing and drinking kombucha...leaving me with more questions than answers ...

Blessings to all MD
