here is a site i go to everyday.
i hope you find some of the good news that i do. http://www.goodnewsnetwork.org/ i can only take so much of the bad. i also don't turn it on when the kids are home. i don't htink it''s good for them to see so much of it. 911...lil'monkey was standing right in front of the tv ready to turn it off and go to school. she watched in horror as the plane hit.

Thanks, I will try to seek out more good news than bad news! I have now added it to my RSS Google Reader.
Sorry to hear about your lil monkey and the 9/11 tragedy. My elder daughter and her husband monitor all the kids TV...and the grandmothers do too...many cartoon (sadly) and other shows are password protected. For many months I didn't even know the code number. I knew that if I knew it then my 6 yr old would prod me into allowing the show...so, don't know, don't want to know.
