Default Are there any PD citizen-scientists out there?

What: I want to get a feel for how many PwP and their carers and friends are citizen-scientists.

Why: Rather than work in isolation, I think we would make more progress if we worked together.

Where: If there is enough interest, I will form a sub-forum or, possibly, a forum for citizen scientists in any health related area.

Who: Let me explain, I'm interested in people who try to reduce the effects of PD by building gadgets, writing computer programs, designing novel exercise regimen, measuring their symptoms and who look for readily available foods that appear to offer therapeutic value.

Examples: lap-top based side-to-side tap test; prevalence of PD across England using government data; levodopa equivalent dose calculator; measure and improve posture using an Android smart phone.

If these are the type of things that you're involved in, please reply with a list of your interests.

John
