Default A problem with rat studies

In his discussion on stem cells, genesis and creative force: ( >> Stem Cell Therapy: Hope, Hype, and Hoax – 379 ) Dr. Medici points out that the rats are babies! (naturally disposed to regeneration whereas most clientelle seeking stem cell treatment are in their 60s, 70s, and 80s... also, rats don't have a history of trauma unlike humans. Trauma impacts the autonomic nervous system in a multitude of ways . (Of course researchers know this...)

He also introduces the disturbing question of what happens when health care becomes available only to the very wealthy---what happens when those who have no ethical boundaries (not claiming exclusive perspective here but in more general terms "if your neighborhhood bodysnatcher can go lay down a couple hundred grand" )- only ones who can "afford" treatments (such as stem cell therapy) effectively prolong their lives?

"We are tampering with very special things" - Dr. Medici
