Default DBS and Phlegm/Cough

Good Morning:
My father undergoes DBS in 2016 and after that he is constantly have a problem with phlegm and cough. We have consulted with different ENT consultants and tried many medications but his situation is not improving. ENT doctors are saying it is related to somehow with the DBS and the doctor who performed the DBS surgery have no clue about it. Is anyone here with DBS have same problem and which medicine can help?

Best Regards
Khalid

Default phlegm

I had the surgery in 2016 also. I produce a lot of saliva when I sleep and I wake up with my head tilted down so I drool out of my mouth. It mostly happens when sleeping but sometimes when I'm awake. Only since the operation. I was in the waiting room once and a man in there had the same problem. Some people get it and some don't. There are some other side effects I've had since but it was still worth going through.
