Default Sleepiness after eating

Any explanation for extreme sleepiness after each meal? He is careful to make sure he waits at least 45 minutes to a hour after taking meds before he eats, but he can still go to sleep immediately after putting down his fork and can sleep for an hour or more! Any thoughts?

There is a clinical trial going on in France, which address this subject:

"Post-prandial Hypotension and Sleepiness in Parkinson's Disease and Other Synucleinopathies (HYPOSOMNPARK)"

One of the common features of PD is low blood pressure. It would probably be a good idea to have this checked.
