Default daughter of an adult w/ parkinson's looking for connection

hi!

my name is natalie, or nat. i am an artist and writer.
my dad was diagnosed with parkinson's disease back in august, and has had memorable health concerns throughout my life. this sadness is not all of me, but it is here in my world.

i am interested in a kind of pen pal situation, or an art/writing exchange with someone on this forum. this change in my life has been a strange, lonely, and eye-opening experience and i want to make something of it. i have this idea in my head that corresponding with someone in this way doesn't have to be all painful. i'm interested in the way the stories we'll tell each other may hold the potential for lifting. send me a message!

hope to hear from you soon!

Default Fellow daughter trying to feel + grow through the pain

Hi there,
Thank you so much for posting + sharing. I am also an artist/designer with a father who has Parkinson’s. My dad was diagnosed a little over one year ago. I echo much of your expression in your post. I know that in most places in my life creation is a vehicle for the transformation and change. I so wish to bring that somehow to this experience. For me, I just broke through to my real sadness (or somewhere deeper). I’ve recently been trying to create a broader support network so I just really felt seen + known in a way by your post. I hope we can connect.

Jessie
