Default embarrassed to admit

quoting from a previous post of mine in this thread:

I'll probably walk out to the kitchen when finished posting, having completely forgotten by then, and squirt myself in the face."

How's this for procrastination? I just had the sink fixed yesterday. This is my first day with water coming back out of the faucet. Happy New Year.

Unhappy A small attempt at humor

Steve, your effort was supurb!!! To the tune of the old camping song, "Going on a Lion Hunt"

Going on My Drug Hunt

Going on my Drug Hunt
Going on my Drug Hunt

I'm not afraid!
I'm not afraid

There is my kitchen, better look through it
Sound of breaking dishes, cutlery crashing on floor, Refridgerator opening, Oven door opening. Garbage Disposal running.
Dog howls, cat yowls.

Do you see them?
No, but I need them!!
tune slows down rather than speeds up

Going on my Drug Hunt
Going on my Drug Hunt

I'm not afraid!
I'm not afraid

There is the bedroom, better go check there!!
Sound of someone tripping over a shoe,
Sound of drawers opening and closing,[/CENTER
Sounds of items crashing off of a night stand,[/CENTER

Do you see them?
No, but I sure need 'em!!

Going on my Drug Hunt
Going on my Drug Hunt

I'm a bit afraid!
I'm a bit afraid

There is the bathroom, I think it's the last roomCENTER]
Sound of shower curtain being pulled back,
Sound of brushing teeth,[/CENTER
Sound of toilet flushing.[/CENTER

What was I looking for?
Take's a nap on the floor.

Wakes up a few hours later. Wondered how I got there. Slowness of thinking clues her. Once again she searches for, at a snail's pace for....

Going on my Drug Hunt
Going on my Drug Hunt

I'm not afraid!
I'm not afraid

Stef n Steve...loved the rhymes

So I thought I'd toss out one of mine

I"ve removed the name of my friend

for whose birthday lunch i did attend

see if you know the special one

I mark as ?????? and have some fun!

(one more clue her bday was 11/15)

A poem for ?????'s bday 2007......
For this special day in history
i wanted a poem to compose
but you've heard my poetry
and this might work better in prose....
There is a lady i' consider it a blessing to know
her name is ????? and she is always on the go...
well..... that is..... when her PD and meds agree
otherwise she is as stiff as can be.
She used to be a straight-laced principal
caring about teachers, lil guys n gals.
Now days she teaches a unique crowd
educating and advocating for a PD cure so bold n loud
She's in a daily boxing arena she didn't choose
trying her best to win in life n make PD lose.
she's got a good home team who love her a bunch
and some friends who are amazed at her (and could never thank her enough) ......just like this one at lunch.
this is going pretty well but i'll call it quits before i'm escorted to the door
and i'll wish my friend ????? a very "Happy Birthday and blessings galore!"
Love ya!

Judy, my guess is the dynamic "Pegleg", Peggy Willocks. And I will add my own "Happy Birthday".

Default uh...what was the question?

What's on my mind? I can't find the laugh lines that had seated themselves beside my eyes. The words to the referenced song, My Way, pushed me into reality, and there I stood...face-to-face with what was on my mind. Worse than th;at, what was on my heart was there, too. Then the words to the song began to come out of my mouth. They sounded like a confession :

As soon as I find my laugh lines, I am going to glue them back onto my face.

Dear michael b.
Is it you singing and playing so wonderful and from your hart touching ,just a click from me. The clock is 2 in the night and I should go to bed, tanks so much for the goodnight song. The LULLABY FROM an unknown man, you have power.

GOD NATT

Default Guilty on the singing part, but not on the playing.

Thank you for your very nice comments. I happened upon karaoke computer program that was free off of the internet about 2 years ago, and I'm afraid I quickly became a karaoke junkie...lol. I have a page of assorted pieces

http://www.braincrumbs.org/checkerboard.htm

some are poetry readings, some are portions of an audible book that I started, some are gospel songs and some are love songs (mostly oldies but goodies) I hope you enjoy some of them.

Thanks again,

michael b.
