Maureen, I cam from Florida to NYS and even three years after I first filed for SSdisability in Florida I still did not have a reply from SS.

Then I moved to souther rural NYS in 2003. In October 2003, I files in NYS for SSdisability. Two weeks later I received a letter telling me to report on a specific date for a SS phsycian disability exam. I did that. Two weeks after the exam I received my award letter.
