The Parkinson’s Action Network (PAN) has been honored as the recipient of the National Achievement Award, given by the board of directors at the Genetics Policy Institute (GPI) for its work on advocating for expansion of embryonic stem cell research. The award will be presented on October 2 at the awards dinner of GPI’s Stem Cell Summit, held at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston.

This award is a direct result of PAN grassroots leaders and advocates all over the country.

The summit will consist of two days (October 2 and 3) of education about the future of stem cell research, including discussions of public policy, current research, and activities at the state level.

PAN advocates can register for the summit at a reduced rate of $295. Registration can be done by going online to thestemcellsummit.com and entering the special code of "SPPAN." You can also obtain more information at (866) 654-4050. Registration does not include admission to the awards dinner or hotel reservations.
