Seminar on Parkinson's disease to be held Nov. 8 By Pegasus News wire http://www.pegasusnews.com/news/2007...be-held-nov-8/ Parkinson's Benefactors, a local Parkinson’s disease charity, is hosting a free seminar titled “Parkinson’s Disease-Best Treatments and Latest Advances” to be held on Thursday, November 8th at 6:30pm. The location of the seminar will be at StarPower, 15340 North Dallas Parkway (just north of Belt Line Road on the east side of the Tollway). Dr. Malcolm Stewart, neurologist at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas and one of the nation’s leading experts on Parkinson’s disease, will guide attendees through an overview of Parkinson’s disease, ongoing research efforts, and options available to Parkinson’s patients and their supporters. Informational sessions will cover topics such as deep brain stimulation, early detection testing, voice therapy, support groups and exercise benefits for Parkinsonians!
