Exclamation Intolerance is still rife on Brain Talk 1

Since returning, deletions and bannings have already taken place on Brain Talk 1.

Discussion and criticisms of Brain Talk 1 have been removed.

Mentions and referrals to Brain Talk 2 have been removed as if BT2 was the Nazi party or the Klu Klux Klan.

The infamous Moderator#4 must still be on the prowl, covertly, intolerantly and unreasonably taking action against anything he chooses.

Nothing's changed on Brain Talk 1. They haven't learnt their lesson, despite members deserting that place in droves.

It was, and is, the KGB rather than Mother Teresa that was running that place.

Default I probably asked for that.

Keith:

I suppose I asked for my post being removed - I was being a bit of a smart-*****. Still, it looks like it lasted 12 hours or so. Since nothing else seems to actually get a reply from the management over there, I thought I would try the shock treatment. I expected that if things hadn't changed, I would be banned for life, and if they had, someone with a sense of humor (did you see my little smiley?) would give me a polite slap on the wrist. (And I was always such a good boy - tsk). Instead I got a 5 point penalty, but I haven't a clue on what scale that is on - 5 of 10, 5 0f 100, 5 of ??. And Mr. Hosibuchi's post also said that I was essentially on probation until the 5 points expired, but there is no indication of when will that be. But, I will probably just stay here on BT2 or whatever new name is selected.

In case you didn't get a chance to read my message, it was as follows:

-----------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Mad:
I'm going to try a test to see if the moderator situation here has changed:

MODERATOR 4 WAS CRUEL, UNJUST AND INHUMANE!! :-)

Now, we'll see how long the message stays up.

I pm'd J.Lester about the possibility of apologizing to the various bannee's; a lot of the former denizens of BT1 have said they won't come back until they are assured that the type of baiting and banning that was going on won't happen again
-----------------------------------------------------------------
And the notice of infraction was:
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Dear K Hamilton,
You have received an infraction at BrainTalk Communities.
http://brain.hastypastry.net/forums/showthread.php?p=3839
Reason: Inappropriate Post
-------
BrainTalk Communities is a place for information and support. This type of posting will not be tolerated here.
-------
This infraction is worth 5 point(s) and may result in restricted access until it expires. Serious infractions will never expire.
All the best,
BrainTalk Communities

I got a private message from one HFA, saying "Mod 3 is sharing this with many; so much for privacy". Somehow I am not bothered by that. If I PM someone, it is for that other person's privacy, not my own. I will make my opinions public, much as for the past 14 years I have made my major depression, and now PD, public. If anyone needs to be informed about anything on those two topics, it is the public; the rest of us in these forums (fori?) know all too much about these things.

I did reply to Mr. Hosibuchi, agreeing that my message was over the top, but saying that the previous bannee's messages had not been, and suggesting some ways around the whole dilemma of avoiding anarchy but being given the chance for a fair hearing for the suspended and banned. We'll see if anything happens.

Now that I think about it, maybe things have changed - all I got was 5 points for being deliberately insulting in public, compared to being banned for protesting the banning of someone who tried to do a good deed. This could be a good sign!

Good night to all.

I liked your boldness Kris.

"MODERATOR 4 WAS CRUEL, UNJUST AND INHUMANE!!"

Not exactly subtle was it ? I'm surprised you got off so lightly.

I was testing them out as "Mad one eared cat" to see how much they would tolerate. Nothing whatsoever was the answer. Even my informing AndrewR of BrainTalk2 was removed.

I received a life ban. I previously already had about thirty of those on BrainTalk 1 after taking on the misconduct of the Moderators, so I'll just add it to the collection.

On their Forum Feedback David Hosobuchi, who now appears to run the place, has listed his reforms. All they consist of are means by which he can ban people. The rules are so loose that he can effectively still ban at will, and I'm sure that's what he will carry on doing.

I'm tempted to go back and annoy the life out of him as I did before, but there's no point. He's beyond hope. The best solution is for people to abandon what is now his domain, which is what most of them, when they see how he treats them, will eventually do.

Default I stopped by yesterday

In thier Forum Feedback area and it was so pathetic that I simply posted an "Adios" and turned around and left. Nothing more than a bunch of sycophants lining up to kiss JL's butt.

I felt exactly the same way, Rick. This is home now.

Default And on and on and ...

Zuke, Rick, Keith:

In the Feedback Forum, Mr. Hosibuchi explains that there is a point system now in place for infractions, and that points will expire, but there is evidently no specific list of how many points per what type of infraction, and that "hypothetically", somewhere between 50 - 100 points would get a person banned for life. Not too clear a system.
I think I'm going to ignore BT1 for a few months, see what changes.
