Go Cougs!

We're having our annual Apple Cup party on Saturday. I have a feeling I know who you'll be cheering for!

Default Back from the Neurologist

First things first- my neurologist assured me that I do NOT have Parkinson's. So, we'll just get that off the table. I told her that I felt like a hypochondriac because that's what my mind kept telling me I had. She said that what is going on does have many of the same symptoms as Parkinson's, but she is positive that this is not my problem.

She said the sleep study came back fairly normal. She said I have Parasomnia (because I talked a lot and looked like I was acting out some of my dreams), and of course the teeth grinding thing. All of this is stuff I've done all my life- so no worries there.

I was right about the Post Concussion Syndrome- she told me that this is actually what's going on. She's ordered a brain MRI for Wednesday just to rule out anything else.

I'm super confident with this doctor and feel that I'm in good hands. She said that PCS is not that common after 3 months, but she's seen it go on for over a year and some of the symptoms never really go away- just are a little less severe.

Thank you all for your ideas and comments. My prayers are with those of you that have PD, they truly are. I watched my grandmother suffer from it and hate to know that you all are afflicted with this as well.

Blessings,
Lori

Thank you! I'm so relieved!

I'm going in for an MRI today (yech- I had one on my neck a few months ago and the noise just about sends me through the roof!) just to make sure that there's nothing going on besides the good ol' bonk on the head.

I wish you well, Ibby!

Default Parkinsons & Upper Cervical Misalignments

Because of the involvement of the brainstem and major blood vessels and cranial nerves at the level of the atlas, misalignments of atlas at that level can and I do believe do cause the symptoms associated with not just Parkinsons but other neurological diseases. Why not? I think Fernandez-Noda is correct and I think that well directed research to this area will reveal this to be true.

Please see my Newsletter

Happy to discuss this one.
